This is a tune from the early 1980s! I guy I worked with wrote this tune. He lent me a cassette at the time so that I could learn it...with the intention of being in a band together. The cassette's long gone but I still (mostly) remember the tune..

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
My version of a half remembered tune (from 1980) written by a former work mate colleague. This is a simple version...but it. could, with a little effort, be fleshed out into something grander...maybe sometime later. The title, 'Upwardly mobile', was what we jokingly said that we were. ..it being the 1980s afterall...some hope.

Excellent instrumental, love the guitar work and the arrangement. The 80's...seems so long ago, whatever happened to those days? It's great that you remembered so much of this...whatever happened to Mark, did he continue with music?
