I'm Redeemed
Comment Share
To be redeemed - to be bought with a price - to be freed from slavery to sin - to receive mercy, forgiveness, and righteousness not ones own - these are life changing concepts and truths.

Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
This song was written slow and steady over several weeks. It's more simple, three chords and 8 bar verses. Each verse is about the same musically, except that verses 3 and 6 have a slight variation at the beginning, good for a little change.
Lyrics
I'm Redeemed I'm redeemed and free to follow A redeemer like no other He has bought me, and forever, He's my friend I'm redeemed, I found His mercy I'm relieved, my life is turning I belong, since my conversion, I am His With His life, my Jesus paid all With His love, He forgave all With His blood, He saved me from the en-em-y I'm redeemed, I have salvation And I have no condemnation God has made a new creation for all time I'm redeemed, I praise the Father Servant Jesus gets the honor He took me, a wayward one, and led me home Oh, His grace is like a fountain And His love, how unbounded! By His blood, He freed and counts me as His own I'm redeemed, I have a future And His Spirit is my Tutor For my sin, He will impute His righteousness David Davis copyright 2018
