Taught for over ten years in a traditional gospel style, I now seek to bring that soulful fervor to every track I do. Let's have a praise party!
I have been in love with music since the age of sixteen, when I sang at my father's funeral as tenor to my mother's lead. If there are any tapes, bring them to me and I'll destroy them. I progressed through gospel and ended up getting some classical training in high school. To keep it going, I joined Friendship Baptist Church Choir and have been ministering in song and theater ever since. I want to give you a positive word.

Story behind the song
It is one of the first songs I taught myself on the guitar, and I find that when I play I'm in a zone that nothing else can fill. A Black Spiritual gets me in my feels, and I always end up with that strained preacher sound. It is my ministry, after all, to bring music to people. Everything I do is an extension of that.
