Lyrics
BE MY GAL IN TIME (THE ALZHEIMER’S SONG) You’re flying blind through the clouds – Zero visibility. Though your memories hang in shrouds, You’ve kept your nobility. Your co-pilot is by your side; You know I’ve always been there. I’ll make you laugh after you’ve cried. I’ll always have a joke to share. You’ll always be in my heart; I’ll serenade you in rhyme. Even when we’re far apart. You’ll still be my gal in time. You’ve flown with me for decades now. My goodness, how the time does fly! We’ve both made it through somehow, And I’ve always been your guy. There are times I take the wheel When you feel you’ve lost control. When it’s hard to tell what’s real, I’m the half that makes you whole. You’ll always be in my heart; I’ll serenade you in rhyme. Even when we’re far apart. You’ll still be my gal in time. Terminal lights up ahead; You can barely make them out. Dinner, TV, then to bed – With your co-pilot, no doubt. There’s a note by your bed stand, And it says, “I love you, Gal!” It was written in my hand, And I signed it, “Your Pal.” You’ll always be in my heart; I’ll serenade you in rhyme. Even when we’re far apart. You’ll still be my gal in time. Those jet-black clouds can roll in Even on a sunny day. It’s like your mind’s been stolen – You’re a million miles away. I promised at the altar I’d stay for better or worse. My love will never falter; I’ll always put you first. You’ll always be in my heart; I’ll serenade you in rhyme. Even when we’re far apart. You’ll still be my gal in time. Copyright © 2018 Lex Zaleta
