Story behind the song
Rain in Hawai'i is mostly pleasant, and for some purposes shares the same word as for blessing. Seldom is the sky covered in clouds; rather, the rain falls from only a few with generous breaks between, through which the sun shines during the day, and the moon at night. Gentle breezes blow down the mountains overnight, making the wind chimes ring out. This was one such morning, just before dawn broke, looking down over the Pacific Ocean. This song required recording the rain, duplicating wind chimes and has a distinctly Asian feel. All instruments by yours truly, with vocals graciously contributed by Tomi Isobe - many thanks!
