Story behind the song
Put Up A Fight is about staying true to your resolve to do the right thing, regardless of what happens with relationships or life in general. The song's lyrics were written directly after a now long-past break-up of mine, then edited and worked into a song more recently, so they also deal with just the emotions and thoughts that you go through at that time (regardless of whether they're completely correct or not).
