Story behind the song
You Can't Bring Us Down is a track I went out of my way to structure and write VERY concisely (around the 3:30 minute mark).
The song is written as simply a song to have fun with, and also a statement against the people who have hated me or been rude to me. The statement would be "yes, I can sing", along with "You Can't Bring Me/Us Down". The statement would not be "I hate you back" or "I wish bad things on you", and it certainly would not be "I am the greatest ever". My statement to anyone who hates me would actually be "God forgive them", and "You're welcome back anytime, if you're trying to change". Perhaps they are even welcome back if they aren't trying to change. It varies. But the point is, I don't hate anyone back; I just acknowledge how incorrect people can be sometimes, and wish the best for everyone.
Besides this, however, the song is mainly a fun song, and a song for people to sing along with, forgetting about the negative things. Nothing was intended to sound incredibly intelligently written in this song.
