Ive always enjoyed mid-period Soft Machine and the first two albums by Alan Carrs Nucleus...the musicians moved from one band to another back in the mid seventies. This is my own take on that particular type of British Jazz Rock

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Here's my own tribute to mid-period Soft Machine. I still enjoy this period of the band. I especially like the album...Bundles...that featured Allan Holdsworth on guitar. I’ve used my Rickenbacker 4003 bass and my ancient Yamaha PSR-275 keyboard on this recording.

Very nice sounds here, David! This is right out of the 1970's: The Doors come into mind with the organ playing these dorian scale themes. The instruments keeps introducing new ideas and the solid beat keeps pumping. Great stuff!

Excellent on every level...a great sounding prog rock track! Top notch arrangement and production, I like all the different elements that you've blended together. I can definitely hear the Soft Machine influence.
