This topic is real personal to me, because I've dealt with this struggle for years, even as a Christian. A lot of men, Christian and non-Christian, married and single, all the same have felt the sting of a pornography or unhealthy sexual addiction. The sad fact is its taboo in churches today to discuss it, even though it claims many victims daily. Growing up, I remember thinking I was the only addict supporting this multi-billion dollar industry, all because not many of my male influences were transparent enough about their struggles to admit it.
The cure for addiction is accountability. James 5:16 says to confess your sins to and pray for one another, because that is how the recovery process begins. It starts with being transparent, admitting that you have an addiction in the first place. It's foolish to think that it ends as small as it starts. Like any other addiction, eventually just pornography won't cut it anymore, and you will begin to crave other forms of sexual debauchery that will destroy you, and your present or future marriage. Get help NOW! Pornography is a gateway drug to much much more. The addiction doesn't just go away, you have to make a choice to no longer feed the beast.
