Story behind the song
Snow And The Snowmen got its name from band leader Lorne Snow (nephew of Hank Snow) that played pretty much 7 nights a week in downtown Toronto in what can be described as the "Drunk Tank Circuit" where the urinal mops are changed annually, the air conditioning suspiciously never seems to work but the beer fridge is always ice cold.
It is a great way for a musician to get experience and make a meagre amount of money and sometimes when it sounds good, free drinks.
Lorne was on vacation for this performance.
The show must go on. It was already booked and guitarist Moe Cascanette had about 30 minutes to go home to get his guitar and amp in Thorncliffe Park and be back to go on stage and fake his way though about 70% of the songs that he didn't know.
