Everyday there are reminders of God's mercy and grace, from God and among God's people.
Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;)
I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.
Story behind the song
This melody has been recorded about a year ago. Only in the past few weeks are there lyrics. The original title was Humble Hallelujah, then I thought Simple Hallelujah was more unique (but it isn't). So, now it is called Everyday Hallelujah. I got a lot of ideas from the book, Hallelujah Anyway.
Lyrics
Everyday Hallelujah
Hallelujah, in His mercy, God saw us
Hallelujah, out of love, He had come
Hallelujah, to the rescue for sinners
Hallelujah, sending His only Son
Hallelujah, we are known and forgiven
Hallelujah, God has called us His friends
Hallelujah, There's no more condemnation
Hallelujah, we are all called the saints
Hallelujah, gently, love creeps in motion
Hallelujah, souls grown cold become warm
Hallelujah, slowing down, Grace can enter
Hallelujah, new creation is formed
Hallelujah, In the quiet, we listen
Hallelujah, just to be with our God
Hallelujah, time to wait will teach patience
Hallelujah, gaining faith with a pause
Hallelujah, try outshining life's troubles
Hallelujah, doing good when it's tough
Hallelujah, giving blessing for cursing
Hallelujah, sharing more of God's love
Hallelujah, acting justly with people
Hallelujah, faithful is what He wants
Hallelujah, this is all that's required -
Hallelujah, walking humbly with God
Hallelujah, hearts grown hard become softer
Hallelujah, stiffened necks learn to bend
Hallelujah, opposites bear forgiveness
Hallelujah, strangers welcomed as friends
Hallelujah, open doors for God's goodness
Hallelujah, open hearts, open hands
Hallelujah, future plans for the hopeless
Hallelujah, once again, one more chance
Hallelujah, seeking Outs for inclusion
Hallelujah, letting others go first
Hallelujah, serving people who suffer
Hallelujah, guiding those in their search
Hallelujah, walking paths far from judgement
Hallelujah, finding mercy and grace
Hallelujah, we don't have all the answers
Hallelujah, finding God ev'ryday
