progressive pop jazz blues country christian contemporary melody celtic orchestral bible sax musette
Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
This melody came as I needed to hire a surveyor. That's how write - the subject comes from whatever is on my mind at the moment.
Lyrics
Survey Your Cross As I survey my wand'ring heart: How can my heart, in Your sight, be true? How can I surely follow You? Then I survey, survey Your cross As I survey my fractured life: Do I fear man more than I fear You? Are You my one or number two? Then I survey, survey Your cross As I survey this broken world: What is this world of ours coming to? Will there be peace when time is through? Then I survey, survey Your cross Your dying crimson, like a robe, Spread o're Your body on that old tree Now I am dead to all the globe And all the globe is dead to me. - (Gal 6:14) David Davis copyright 2017 [fourth verse after Isaac Watts]
