This is the instrumental 'Overture' of the next instalment of my Albertropolis multi-media / Steamwave / fantasy story project. Some musical themes and sounds from earlier stories make a welcome return.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
The Albertropolis ...an Alternative Victorian reality / science-fantasy story continues... Our intrepid time travellers... Alex, Henry and Dr. Theo Gildenlow re-unite for more strange and exciting time travel adventures. This is the Overture ... scene one... ...by the way, the musical 'genre' that I'd much prefer to catagorise this project as... is...an Alternative Victorian reality. I prefer the term 'Steamwave'. ...and not Steampunk!

Spectacular dynamic work. Lots of textures to dig in to. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

Chaotic and frenetic, this just keeps the blood hot while it cools the imagination with a splash of ambient CHILL, such an odd combination, very engaging!

Really psyched about this David, Albertropolis returned, brings back happy memories! Here we go......Oh yes, obviously written and recorded with such reverence and TLC. Masterful transitioning, a veritable feast of tones (which IMHO you are the MASTER of!) and sweeping textures, fricken' genius. Epic (overused term yet fitting)....love this, more please, bring it on, congratulations!

A very well composed and crafted instrumental. Brilliant job on blending the music with some great sound effects. Love the way it sets the scene, yet also manages to tell its own story. Excellent production and high end studio sound.
