Decaying Orbit is an experimental, unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash. "No, this music's not about that, it's not about sound quality, it's about passion." - Mike Ash. Decaying Orbit is produced by their label, Decaying Enterprises Productions and has released many studio albums since they formed in 2008, after the violent break up of the Psychedelic Rock band, Strangefire, of which Mike was the former front man. Decaying Orbit believes in unadulterated musical & creative freedom, Mike describes their music as a "cathartic purge" or "nervous break downs caught on tape.". The band believes that creating music is a sacred, spiritual and magical art form brought to them by the Muses, wraiths and demons hidden just beyond the veil between the worlds of the physical and spiritual realms. Decaying Orbit has traveled beyond the veil and into the realms of the spirits, only to reemerge, like a caterpillar from it's cocoon emerging as a beautiful butterfly, so does Decaying Orbit get reborn through the fire of their cacophonous tunage. The band believes in complete freedom of lifestyle, I.E. sexuality, religion, spirituality, drugs, manner of dress etc. They believe that music is an interstellar language that needs no translation to be understood by absolutely anyone. It's the passion behind the emotions found in the music that matters to Decaying Orbit, they believe that integrity is more important than fortune or fame. This is our Decaying Orbit & we do hope that you will N'Joy tha' show!!!!

Story behind the song
This tune was originally titled "Dirty Laundry" until I remembered that Paul McCartney or someone already had a jam by that title. to avoid confusion I switched the letters up a bit. I wrote & recorded this song in 1999 during the "Nothing Smashing" sessions. it was actually my Mom that reminded me of the song by the same title, so the letter mix up was also kind of her idea. She was always so very supportive of my music and ALL of my creative endeavors!!! I know she's rockin' my jams in the Summerland.
Lyrics
winter winds... we stuck together like popsicle sticks, who what when where?!?! I'm not sure if I remember, fake memories of what should have happened... (I don't believe you, I don't believe you) any more or any less of anything at all, air your dirty laundry for all to see that you're just like them, yeah you're just like me.... we struggle to take off our masks and show deformity, just like gravity, 'cause imperfection is as perfect as we'll ever be, (I don't believe you, I don't believe you, I don't believe you...) so watch the news and the daytime TV, the soap operas and be glad you're not me, you're like the rest of the world, you're just like the rest of the world and they're like you, fiction is as real as you get, as real as you get, & you peel off the scabs to see what's underneath, but there's nothing left, there's nothing left of me to peel away, (I don't believe you, I don't believe you) I'm not your machine to turn away even if you don't agree, you're twisted, you're oblivious, in my mirror, you're mysterious, and our killer... (I don't believe you, I don't believe you) so what's the point in anything at all? genetic, synthetic, your soul, your inner light... apathy, you're like me, inner light that you can't deny, but you won't admit that maybe I'm right, maybe I'm right... (I don't believe you, I don't believe you...) (C)Decaying Enterprises 2017
