band biography: To create the band “AfterEffect”, it took careful planning, patience and perseverance. Bringing together four musicians with completely different influences and playing styles, “Was a challenge unlike any we have experienced in previous projects”.Jonathan Romero and Thomas Casanova combined forces in the summer of 2003 to form the project “AfterEffect”. They wanted to create music that would touch the souls of their listeners. Music that was fun, catchy and unique. In the summer of 2002, Jonathan and Tommy began composing music together. These compositions combined elements of the 60’s (psychedelia), 80’s (new wave) and 90’s (alternative/grunge). This type of hybrid songwriting continued upon the arrival of Russ Cameron in January 2004. Russ began to deliver beats heavily influenced by hip-hop. This element being crucial to the sound of the project, couple that with the music maturing over time. "aftereffect" has since recorded their first 3song demo with Producer/Engineer William Valentine in April of ‘04. This demo includes the songs: “Inside”(The Shape) an emotional rock out. “Don’t Follow”(Burden) a smooth laid back ballad that flips the script in the final transition. And, “Five on”, an intense roller coaster ride that will leave you wanting more! “After Effect” will be recording their next demo in June of ’04.
