Story behind the song

If you would rather enjoy this piece of art and have it come to mean something truly unique to you, do not read the backstory. Just as the band “Aerosmith” once criticized the music video industry of robbing fans from having their own visions of imagery associated to a song and supplanting it with some “official” footage, so too can knowing a songs backstory potentially come to rob it of having some special place and meaning for you.

The Official Backstory
This is a song about hate.
This is a “laid out in the open”, inappropriately expressed, unmitigated level of hatred leveraged towards someone that hurt Chrissy, leaving her deaf in one ear.
I left this song in a set list with a band for years challenging them to own that this song was about them.
I'm not proud of this song. It is crass, vulgar, disrespectful, crude, judgmental, misogynistic, and that isn't forgive for being directed at a single person.
This doesn't represent who I chose to be, but it does cast light direct on how ugly hatred can get.
I still love this song for its musical merit, and a part of me is ashamed to admit that due to the rest of it.
