A caterpillar looked up at the sky
Wishing that she was a butterfly
Soaring in the flowers and the trees
Instead of crawling in the mud and dead leaves
She said,
I Want to be a Butterfly
With a curly tongue and brightly painted wings
Oh, Why?
Can't I be a Butterfly
Instead of this creepy crawling thing ?
A spider hanging in his web nearby
Overheard the caterpillars cry
Devised a clever scheme inside his head
Approached the caterpillar and he said ,
Oh I
Can make you a butterfly
With curly tongue and brightly painted wings
Oh I
Can Make you a Butterfly
Instead of that creepy crawling thing
The caterpillar asked the spider
what the cost would be
The Spider told the Caterpillar
you must obey just me
never question what I say
no matter what I ask
promptly do as you are told
no matter what the task
The caterpillar started to say no
Saw a passing butterflys shadow
Quickly changed her mind and then agreed
To satisfy the spiders every need
She said ,
I'm going to be a butterfly
With curly tongue and brightly painted wings
Oh I
Am going to be a butterfly
Instead of this creepy crawling thing.
The spider lead the caterpillar back up to his web
wrapped her up and started to suck the juices from her head
The spider chuckled to himself as he finished off his prey
The caterpillar would have have become a butterfly anyway
