I have been writing from the time I could play my guitar at 12 years old, I'm 72 now and for the last few years I've been writing Christian music.
I'm a good ole boy from Georgia. In the early 70's I started a cover band, The Re-Creation. We played local gigs for several years. We all started having families and other jobs paid a lot more, so we gave up on music. I've dabbled in song writing over the years. I've been a Christian for a long time but, and as I've gotten older, I feel I have a calling from God to write Christian music. There are enough of my old lady done left with my dog songs. I'm sharing the good news of Jesus and His plan for salvation to an increasingly damaged world. My hash tag is #JesusLovesYou The love of Jesus comes before everything else.

Story behind the song
Robin Williams brought so much joy, and he was in so much pain in his final days.
Lyrics
The Funny man Cries 2014 By Donnie Priest He made whole the world laugh He was one of a kind We didnt know the pain He kept hidden inside We were all so shocked When we heard the news A star had left this world Well miss the man we never knew (chorus) The light that shines the brightest Burns out way too soon Robin brighten the darkness Like the suns reflection off the moon Many things we dont understand We may never know why --- The funny man cries The ones left behind Family and all the friends Full of questions and pain Its such a tragic end We can only feel for them Comfort them in their grief We lost someone special In better days we must believe (chours) The light that shines the brightest Burns out way too soon Robin brighten the darkness Like the suns reflection off the moon Many things we dont understand We may never know why ---- The funny man cries (outro) We may never know why The funny man cries
