Sort of Reggae, sort of folk rock. An anthem after a fashion. A call for unification around that which is important. You can't get this anywhere else. If you like it, buy it!
Steve Ripley says of Timbre Wolf's music:
Its all cool. Actually, I can say different and mean it - and mean it in a good way. Dont hear much different these d
Story behind the song
I was sitting in Hawaii (Big Island - wet side) and thinking about how important water was and that it's essential role in our lives made it the one thing that we really need. This was the last song that I wrote in Hawaii before coming to the mainland.
Lyrics
All We Want is Water
©Timbre Wolf
Walkin' 'cross the desert, burning toes upon the sand
I really hate to be here but I've got to make a stand
Sojourner I am here as I make another friend
I lift my voice in wonder as the day it does begin
All I want, All I want, All I want is water
The madness is ubiquitous, ambition rules the man
His actions are impetuous and he brings the ruin of land
But most of us, we know different, it's in the water and the wind
The sun keeps on a shinin' gives us more than we can tend.
All we want, all we want, all we want is water
The truth drips down so slowly
The thirst it goes unquenched
Abundance sometimes seems a myth
but baby don't you flinch
'cause it's pouring down, coming 'round,
Wash it all away so we can move to higher ground.
Walkin' 'cross the desert, burning toes upon the sand
We really hate to be here but we've got to make a stand
Sojourner we are here as we make another friend
We lift our voice in wonder as the day comes to an end
All we want, all we want, all we want is water
