High-energy political folk with powerful lyrics and an innovative acoustic sound.
Hey Friends, I am Evan Greer, a radical singer/songwriter originally from Boston. My songs roam from the romance of a trainyard to the frontlines of the class-war. My style is sort of aggressive folk. I envision a world where people are free to live their lives in the way that they choose, and where our social interactions are based on love, mutual aid, and solidarity, rather than exploitation and greed. My songs are for anyone who has ever envisioned such a world, anyone who has ever fought for one, and anyone who ever thought that one was impossible, but wished it weren't so.

Lyrics
My name is John Kerry I’m a Vietnam vet. I’m here to tell you how much better things could get. If you’d just let me be the king instead of that guy Bush. I’m a softer kind of fascist when shove comes to push. And you know you gotta love my presidential style My presidential face and my presidential smile. (chorus) So vote for me, I’m John Kerry See the softer side of Tyranny Yes vote for me, John Kerry. Get rid of tweedle-dum, bring in tweedle-dee. You can ask my wife and kids I’m the king of waffles I’ll be the best waffler in the whole oval office. I waffled on gay marriage and I waffled on Iraq, I’ll waffle on CAFTA and the Patriot Act. I’m a real clever guy and my strategy is strong, If I never take a side how can I go wrong? Well Bush is a Republican and I’m a Democrat. Our policies are much the same but who cares about that? The most important thing is the illusion of change. So you can feel like your involved while the status quo’s maintained. For you the working class things will probably stay the same But won’t it be nice to have a new guy to blame? Believe me though, you’re more to me than just a statistic I know you want democracy, but come on, let’s be realistic. Don’t blame me, my hands are tied. I’ve gotta keep my corporate customers satisfied And in order to do that we’ve gotta keep you all in line. Waving the flag and the dollar sign. You’ve got a television to supply you with your thrills, So take some propaganda and a few sleeping pills. If you ever wake up we know what must be done But for now the ballot box is Cheaper than the guns.
