just a lil' ole song writer
Just a lil' ole songwriter trying to get his . Everything you hear on this page was written, performed and produced by me. All of these songs were recorded in the early-to-mid 90's on some old, broken-down equipment. There are two exceptions. The song 'In America' was performed by my old band Galen Paris and the Critical Mass as a demo. And the song 'Taste of You' was recorded live with the same band.

Story behind the song
I called this song TLC because when I wrote the music, to me it sounded like a song the group TLC would do. The lyrics came together probably quicker than they should have. Not much inspiration here except shoo-be-dooing a little hottie.
Lyrics
On the town with my girlfriend Hangin' down at the bar My eyes were lookin' for some new love They didn't have to look to far Saw this hot little body Wrapped up nice and tight I wanna open up that present Later on tonight I know what you're gonna call me I'm not sayin' that I'm right I never said that my love would be fair I'm not lookin' for someone to call me When I don't come home at night I don't need that kind of Tender Loving Care I'm not talkin' 'bout no T-Boz Or my wondering left eye I like eatin me some Chili Makes your toes curl up tight That's not me on the G'tar I'm to stuck on the base I didn't ask if I could lick her I just wanna see how she tastes I know what you're gonna call me I'm not sayin' that I'm right I never said that my love would be fair I'm not lookin' for someone to call me When I don't come home at night I don't need that kind of Tender Loving Care My rides got one headlight When she's got four on the floor She's in the mood to race tonight Raise her back side up some more I know that I'm the driver But I wanna drink another case 'Cause I know that I'm the winner When I come in second place I know what you're gonna call me I'm not sayin' that I'm right I never said that my love would be fair I'm not lookin' for someone to call me When I don't come home at night I don't need that kind of Tender Loving Care
