Story behind the song
From the 2016 video game soundtrack 'Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak' scored by Paul Ruskay. this one is called 'Defend Rachel' and is used on mission 12 'Torin Crater' as background music during a tense battle sequence. Using my Carvin DC127 & the Fishman TriplePlay guitar synth to do most of the heavy lifting here with help from 'Vocalise', 'Kontakt' and 'SampleTank3' VSTI's. Percussion arranged with Magix VITA

Epic! Seriously this track is huge! Im not familiar with the original but i think you did an amazing job here. I bet this took some time to learn and figure out all the parts, then arrange and mix it. Only thing i dont get..Why did you post it under pop covers? Its Soundtrack or Filmscore.. Ok..Lets not go there.. :D Awesome work!
How did I miss this one before? That vocal vsti sounds great. Not familiar with the original but what you've done here is very polished, the big acoustic percussion sounds great with the synth lines.

Really nice mix! Real strong & dramatic feel to the whole piece. The vocal sims are amazingly accurate sounding. Hard to believe this is in an MP3 format, the full blown file must be killer! Great job! Rachel is well defended here! PS: Glad to see you got to keep your MD page along with the other ones too.

Excellent, professional amazing tune!! :) Super arrangement and mix, the deep of the layerings and sundscapes is simply stunning! Was impressed by the almost "natural" vocals..... Just the right one to celebrate the "come back"!!! Cheers to the music Mike!

First thing came to my mind hearing this is the beautyful sound so nice and airy in the mix. Also if i can make it out of your musical world again with my wallet intact.. but now you are teasing me with this wonderful vocalizer. The melding of strings and voices? in the intro is amazing. You are a master-developer of soundscapes. Masterful work with strong visuels. Film-material!

Pro layering and love the dynamics and sounds. At 1:40 the drums give it more oomph. Great!
