Story behind the song
Being a member of Taxi, Homemadesoul saw a listing for an opportunity that required an R&B song that sounded like D'angelo and Eric Benet. While on lunch break at work, Homemadesoul reached out to his cousin, Sean C Johnson to inquire about beat websites so he could search for the perfect track. Up until this point, Homemadesoul had never purchased a beat from online.
Sean referred him to a website called Scarecrow Beats, and after a 10 minute search, Homemadesoul found the music that would eventually become "Everything" Once he found the music, Homemadesoul sent the track to Natasha Jeter, who commenced to writing the very lyrics that grace the song today. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered all by Homemadesoul, and submitted for a television show licensing placement. Shortly after, Homemadesoul decided to release the song as a single, and the rest is....
