Hi! I'm a guitarist, singer and songwriter currently living in Fredericton, N.B., Canada. I've been performing music in one way or another since the mid '60's, starting out singing tenor in a barbershop quartet with my brothers and then into a progression of bands playing rock, jazz, blues and country and... whatever. Story behind the song
It took almost a year for this one to come together. Most of that time spent fiddling around on the piano with different arrangements, rhythms, etc before trying to record it. I finally got to the point where I had too many ideas and couldn't make a decision! Finally, after months of playing it to death, without really thinking about an arrangement, I laid down the piano track start to finish, no metronome, and then the drums. The horns started from an improvised trombone track, all of which wound up dominating the song in the end.
