There appears to be some influence from Steely Dan on this one, although it was not intended. Originally composed (1987) as a song titled "Julia" -the vocal melody being what is heard played here by the wood flute sound. It has never been sung nor recorded with the original vocal song idea. I did, however arrange the music into an orchestral piece that is part of my original children's ballet (Pomeranian Ballet, 1992). The orchestral version, titled "The Baltic Hounds," features sections which are similar to Prokofiev's "Troika" from "Lt Kije Suite."
