forgiveness sister cry high road steal my man low road
I was a member of NSAI and went to Nashville several times for training camps. I was a fiction/non-fiction writer before I became a songwriter.
Sheila Dixon began writing songs approximately 12 years ago. She brought a poem to an Orlando “Nashville Songwriter’s Association International" meeting to start out. She met SusieCool (Susan Foster Trewick) there and they co-wrote “We Belong Together Through All Time". Over the years they co-wrote another 17 plus songs. Those are available on Soundclick as "The Healing Band". Besides writing with SusieCool, Sheila worked with another NSAI member Stephen Desjardins. They wrote “My First Love" which they had produced by the Beaird Group in Nashville.

Low Road © 2015 Sheila O'Connor Dixon, Susan Foster-Trewick susiecool2001@yahoo.com D A D Traveling on this long road, making my way back home D A Em Haven't been there in many years, last time I left alone Em D A Finally got the courage up, threw together all my stuff A Em Wondering if she will still be there A Em Chorus It would be best to take the high road A Em But my heart tells me “take the low road” (X2) D A By blood she is my sister, she took away my man D A Don't know if I should forgive her, maybe I never can Em D A She simply owes me everything, stole away my diamond ring A Em Finally I'm coming up for air (Chorus) Bm A Bridge Heard last week that he left her, you'd think that would be my cure G F# But instead of being happy, I felt so sorry for her Bm A G F# Maybe she did me a good turn, took away a weak man as I later learned A Em A Em So I took the high road, not the low road, I let her cry on my shoulder A Em A Em Take the high road not the low road, We get wiser as we get older A Em Take the high road not the low road
