Story behind the song
This is an original song I wrote back in 1987, when I was only 18. I wrote it shortly after getting a Roland D-50 synth. I was forced to sell that synth later due to money issues, so I stuck with guitar ever since.
Over the past few years, I've had a real problem with my arthritis. The way in which I have to twist and bend my wrists to play the guitar is now quite painful, so I recently decided to put it aside, in favor of the keyboard.
I wasn't sure how well I'd do considering the limited amount of time I had playing a synth, but I took the plunge and bought a brand new Roland Jupiter-50 synth. As it turns out, I am able to much better translate what I hear in my head into reality, not to mention much kinder on my wrists.
The following is a two-piece song which begins with a prelude called "Always", followed by the main piece called "Forever". There are lyrics and melody to it, however, no vocalists were available to record. Maybe one day, I will release it again with vocals. For now, this is the best I can do.
