A song about the ironworkers who erected the big towers on the Newport Bridge -- a.k.a., the Claiborne Pell -- in 1967. I was an apprentice on that job. There's a video with pics from the job at: https://youtu.be/NQLIVHEqG98

Story behind the song
Construction on the Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge in Rhode Island began in 1966 and finished in 1969. The song and video are about my days as an apprentice ironworker on one of the two main towers in the summer of 1967.
