Story behind the song
Spoken word about me and my ex.
Lyrics
So it was many years ago when I was barely 21. So I met this one woman on a dating website called PlentyofFish.com after wrapping up band practice with my old band Power Trip. Also known as the Band of Asians. I got home, logged on and found a new message on my inbox. So I opened it and it was from a girl the same age as me who was living in Stockton, CA. She went by the name Kacey. From what I remember, her username was TechnoGirl86 or something like that. So we started chatting and all that and she told me she was living with this one Asian woman who was her roommate at the time. It so turns out, that was her girlfriend who apparently catfished her all the way from Texas down here in the Sunshine state of California. So we set up a time when to meet each other. So I went online and bought a Greyhound ticket with my debit card. It was November 25, 2006. Just ten days after I turned 21. So I told my mom and dad I was going to see a young woman I met through online dating but lied to them that I was going to Berkeley. At the time, my parents and I were not getting along. Plus I had my own shit I was going through at the time, which I vented to Nadia, David and Eddie about. The bus ride took about two hours and we stopped by Sacramento before heading down to Stockton. I went into the gift store and bought this Muppet Babies coloring book and then waited for the bus. Suddenly, I got a phone call from Kacey and I told her that I was on my way there. Then her roommate named Shiku calls me and warned me about this woman that I was gonna go see. Later that I didn’t know that this woman I was meeting who went by the name Kacey who I would later have a 6 year relationship with and had a stillborn son in 2011 would turn out to be more pain and misery than the good lady herself. Not just me! But also for her as well. So I got off the bus and saw Kacey. She told me that her real name was actually Faith Marie and she was going through an abusive situation with Shiku, the Asian lady who called my mobile phone anonymously. So we went to McDonalds and got ourselves dinner. Then we took a photo together on my old digital camera which two Latin girls snapped of me and her. The memory still is surreal to this very day. So after we got dinner, we headed to the nearby movie theater and went to go see the movie The Departed starring DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson. With no place to go for the night, we ended up staying at a cheap motel where we started talking and shit right? So I took off her pants, ate her pussy and starting tit fucking her and telling her that I’m a miserable wreck of a human being. She was the second girl I got laid to. But little did I know, this woman I would later have a 6 year relationship with caused me more sorrow than joy. So here I am now, waiting for my Earth Angel.
