We use Live Guitars (acoustic&Electric) Keyboards, Bass, Drums & Percussion to Paint Audio-scape's or sound beds of our own, we make our own Samples and Record,
Welcome to our music page, Growing up in an artistic environment during the early 70's in a time when great music and visual arts were colliding like atoms in a nuclear reactor, gave a glimpse of a world with unlimited possibilities and potential where the imagination could flourish and expand without borders. This was the training ground where New Jazz Movement's artistic journey began... Being actively involved with visual art throughout our years in school, gave us a broad range of experiences which included sketching, painting, crafting and in our spare time we would explore the world of music. After we had started attending junior high and our interest in music began to increase, our family had received a settlement from a car accident a year earlier so my father had purchased a piano for us to learn to play and this became our primary learning tool to explore music with. During the first years of high school our focal point of interest shifted towards drum and percussion as well as analog tape recording and mastery of the guitar, we began to focus more on the recording aspects of music and with a little help from several low cost tape recorders, we were able to master the basics...more to come soon.

Story behind the song
Hope you guys are doing well despite the rocky start to the new year. I took some time to rework the "N'ICELAND" track to touch some of the things that needed to be redone.  One of the first areas of focus were the guitar pickups/effect selection so I ramped up the mids by switching to neck/bridge setting and was able to fatten tone a bit, also cleaned up guitar tracks by removing/reducing any reverb or room reflection. Secondly I focused on the bass guitar track to boost the tone so that it is punching through but neatly in the groove with drums. Also adding a eq boost to the toms on drum kit as requested s o that they ride just behind the snare and lastly addressing the synth overtones and low frequencies to balance out the overall mix and ran mix through pre amp to give volume boost for quality control. What a difference it makes having a second and third set of ears makes when it comes to evaluating audio mix values. Thank you guys for the feedback.
