Bloodlust

When I finished ‘Bloodlust- A Vampyre Love Story’, it occurred to me that it would be a good idea if the lyrics of the cd were printed out at the end of the book.
Then I had a flood of other ideas such as a brief explanation of the story and an overview of each song. And, with my little cat child, Olivia beside me I set to task writing this out as I listen to the cd.
When I first shared the cd and uncorrected proofs of Bloodlust with my Goth/Vampyre friends, they immediately loved it. Their main question was where did I get the idea for the book.
That was easy to answer, but difficult to convey. Quite simply, it was the song (Bloodlust), and more importantly the line, “Take my hand, come with me.” This and the fact that it was sung by my Lady Jennifer was the entire impetus behind the book.
Yes dear friends, there really is an Adam d’Ravin and Lady Jennifer. The two main characters in the book are the actual performers of the music. In fact, there is more truth to the story than fiction. That can remain a puzzle. But know that in each personality, each character of the story there is a real and living person.
I do find it quite amazing that I could be so moved by the love and voice of one girl to have written two books and many many songs about her. And equally as strange is that her singing one song could evoke such feelings and emotions. This, dear friends, is true Gothic Romance.
The odd part is that outside the performances of her vocals with my guitar work, she does not even know that she is being celebrated and immortalized through my efforts as I have not seen her in 3½ years. Such Goth/Vampyre irony. How many other girls can lay claim to such devoted love?
Though an encoded love letter, there are many codes and secrets revealed within the book and music.
Oh yes, you wondered about Ed, the little black rosebud, the 1851 Colt, the coffin cruiser, vest with the button missing, photograph and the copy of Butterfly written on July 2nd, 1863. They all exist, though the coffin cruiser was stolen in New York in December of 2000. Do the Vampyre exist? That's exactly what Ed asked... You know the answer.
