Story behind the song
Song started out with two tangoing acoustic guitars, but the addition of the one electric flipped the song over and the electric became the dominant guitar. The chorus adds a 12-string acoustic, which gives it that airy feel. I suspect we all go through phases where we do the right things for the wrong motives. I have to remind me that there is nothing that I can do that will make God love me more. He already loves me so much that he sent his son to redeem me and he already paid my cost! Miserable wretch that I am, there's nothing I can do to earn his love or justify his faith in me. That's why they call it undeserved favor!
