Rock Singer - Songwriter - Guitarist - Recording Artist
When it comes down to the saying, "Rock Isn't Dead", indie rock recording artist Frank Palangi reignites the fuel on a genre that refuses to die. "Rock" is a way of life for a musician that lives and breathes his passion. It's not about drugs or the image of the lifestyle. Sure it rises and falls in and out of pop culture, but stands the test of time as one of the most favorite and well recognized. Whether it's the feeling of a raw, personal unplugged acoustic set or the full driving energy and sound of the electric guitar, his positive outlook and interaction with people has always been number one. A "millennial" for terms sake, wears many hats from recording, mixing, producing, video work, hosting interviews to teaching guitar lessons to make any sort of full time in this day in age of music living and extreme inflation. Homegrown from Upstate New York learning from a young age is you don't just give up, you stay the course on it however long it takes. His mission statement is always has been "I have no plan b in backing down on my dreams." since his early demos . Palangi's style tips the hat on the past 30 year evolution of the 80s & 90s rock & post grunge genres mixed with a taste of heavy metal. Where did Frank start? Influenced by bands from the 80's (Metallica, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Megadeth), 90's (Creed, Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, Drowing Pool), 2000's (Daughtry, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, Hinder), his natural talent for self learning from the age of 13 lead to him being a multi-instrumentalist. "I was a shy kid with health issues growing up with no sports so I turned to creative outlets instead like music and film. Learning from DVD's (early days of the net) TV interviews & live shows from the past decades I knew I wasn't going for the typical drinking, smashing hotel rooms rocker lifestyle that it is known for. I could focus more on the music, , the career, the fans, and the drive to grow & learn and of course that rock n roll rebel yell feeling to stand up for yourself." -FP Since the COVID pandemic hit making things hard for musicians and Frank's attitude and determination didn't change the idea of his mission statement. "Growing up with the early Youtube days and the rise of social platforms, it changed the field of how to get music out there and I took the online approach harder and continues to do online shows. I know things take longer than expect, it just means you have believe & have faith more not to back down so quick." The big choke in the music business is that you think you'll become an over night success fast, that's not the case. Frank with having an admirable stubbornness tenacity to keep progressing knows it's relentless work and expecting rejection. "Palangi’s positivity extends beyond his music into the way he interacts with his fans. " Guitar World. Palangi's dedication & determination, steadily grew with online show support on stageit.com / live internet broadcasts & opening in the north east with national artists such as 3 Doors Down, Red Sun Rising, Buckcherry, Candlebox, Aaron Lewis, Starset, Kip Winger, Jack Russell's Great White, Lacey Sturm, FUEL / Marcy Playground, TRAPT with Smile Empty Soul / Candlelight Red / Veer Union, Powerman 5000 with HEDPE, Stars Go Dim, Young Guns, HURT, Jess Malin (D-Generation), and indie acts Moriah Formica (The Voice), Madison Vendenburg (American Idol) IM5, Spiritual Rez, Prospect Hill, Bad Axis, Hindenberg, Sirsy, Deluka, Silversyde along with winning slots in Upstate NY with the Rocknderby Festival featuring Megedeth, Shinedown, Dokken, Like A Storm, Coheed and Cambria and The Uproar Festival featuring Alice in Chains/Jane’s Addiction. Frank Palangi’s, Bring On The Fear EP, is the spine-tingles that rockers gladly welcome." Lyrics
Can you break away these chains that hold ya down Skin and bone can't save the pain that's left now Your only hope is within yourself Now it's time to face yourself You can break all these chains Save yourself it's your darkest day Crawl toward the light and break these chains You can try to fight every little thing that goes wrong (ya gotta getta break) As you try your dragged back in, break away You can break all these chains Save yourself it's your darkest day Crawl toward the light and break these chains It's undecided the fate you will make, tear it all down and win ya gotta break, ya gotta break, ya gotta break ya gotta break, ya gotta break, ya gotta break You can break all these chains Save yourself it's your darkest day Crawl toward the light and break these chains Break these chains Gotta Getta break, ya Gotta Getta break, Gotta Getta break, ya Gotta Getta break
