I expanded this from part of a song I wrote back in the All The King's Men days. Recorded on an iPhone using a Casio keyboard.
alternative power pop christian rock grunge
Artist picture
Modern pop-rock with a slight hint of Eighties and Nineties alternative.
Oldmangrady is a constantly evolving musical project that I torture myself with. There have been several line-up and style changes over the years. For the time being, Oldmangrady is Lee Modlin.

Story behind the song
I wrote the basic part of this song back in 1991 one afternoon while Gary and I were at the barn. It was in a different key at the time and Gary was soloing over the part I played. He came up with most of the lyrics that make up the chorus.
Lyrics
See you in the morning, sitting on the shore. I hold your hand for one last time; I’m wanting so much more. The tears roll down your face, I search for words to say. Maybe one day you and I can sail away. The night is never long You and I are strong You and I can sail away. I know we both belong Sing with me this song You and I can sail away. Listen to the whispers, swirling all around. I put my finger to your lips; hush, don’t make a sound. I see the sunrise in your eyes, there’s nothing left to say. Baby, it is time for us to sail away. The night is never long You and I are strong You and I can sail away. I know we both belong Sing with me this song You and I can sail away.
