Living Waters Jazz has morphed into its own brand performing and selling Christian jazz/rock play-alongs (see and listen to demos at www.livingwatersjazz.com) a
Welcome to Living Waters Jazz small corner of SoundClick. Since the late 1990's, Living Waters Jazz has entertained thousands world wide with Christian Big Band music. The band's current make-up features 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 4 saxes and rhythm. Our styles reach back as far as the 1930 to 1950's to a mixture of some modern day. Starting back in 2013 Living Waters Jazz switched gears. Living Waters Jazz morphed from jazz ensemble to a company. The Living Waters Jazz (also known as LWJ) created our own studio and began creating commercial play-alongs for jazz, lite 60's rock and independent Christian music found on the web. Our repertoire here at Soundclick is now a sampling of full demos of our products and ensemble works. To hear the full line of play-along product visit at your convenience. Give us a listen and if you like what you see and hear, sign up for the Living Waters Jazz newsletter. The LWJ play-alongs came from a desire to fill a personal need for inspirational based play-alongs. Thus began over two and a half years of revamping our own small but comfortable Living Waters Jazz studio, learning new mixing techniques and even developing our own! Living Waters Jazz even had to learn publishing and web designing to a greater degree than LWJ had before. Living Waters Jazz hopes you enjoy the new sound, the Play-along product line and the new website!

Story behind the song
While composing Belonging I had a moment where I thought about folks and in our case, cats who are mostly strays, who came together to live. A belonging, if you will, a community of critters in the same household. And because we're family, we belong. Initially I categorized this song as rock since it's actually a rock song I composed but I chose a lead trombone with horn backup and after listening to it several times I came to the conclusion this really is more a jazz tune than rock so I relisted it. It did get up to the #60 slot in the Rock General genre.
