Story behind the song
14.) Kahn, now a semi-benevolent, slightly omnipotent space entity, returns to Earth, and is greeted by the descendants of the previous Earth civilization, now primitive, backward, and ready to believe anything. Kahn sets himself up as a God, indeed many ‘gods’ and ‘demigod’-like actions are or have been or will be attributed to Him. Kahn enjoys his new Earthly pleasures, fathering new tribes and nations and deflowering virgins, performing ‘miracles’, building new nations and pitting them against each other in battle. When boredom strikes, he takes the Odysseus on long journeys into space on pleasure voyages, but inevitably upon each return he finds that civilization has changed, and he must repair what his children have destroyed in his absence. Having passed through many wormhole singularities, he is now living in all dimensions at all times, mostly omniscient. Even though statues are erected and poetry sung to his unseen presence, the responsibilities of a Deity soon become stale. Kahn takes the Odysseus on a final ride through the center of TMA-2. Nothing is known of his whereabouts thereafter. All we can surmise is that he is further along his path...
