Story behind the song
Modern warfare still takes a toll on human life !
Lyrics
Author: Alan Gardiner -- Roger Peatman SACRIFICE Another soldier crossed the line Never saw that hidden mine A flash of light-- expression grim Body torn-- limb from limb A dream serene --the passing of a life Leaves another grieving wife Young man young man Was it ever in the plan Those nights you spent-- in early spring The shells that made your tender ears ring Sitting by the campfire light -- Thoughts lost in the night You're going home--- way too soon Another corpse beneath that strawberry moon Young man young man Was it ever in the plan You're going home--- way too soon Another corpse beneath that strawberry moon It's a job --he used to say -- Just a way to earn his pay Never thought-- he'd die like this - no mothers arms-- no girlfriends kiss Young man young man -- Never thought he'd die like this

This was good in the last mix, this one takes all that good stuff and puts it right up front with even more power, as before, great lyric and music gents!

The guitar and vocals create such emotion in this song...we feel this story and relate to the subject - whatever your politics or views, you can't help but be moved by this track. Stunningly good work.

Awesome song for a cause - the sorrow can be felt on each note of your guitar, and on each vocal word sung... Bravo fellas!

Warfare is certainly on everyones minds these days. This song brings into focus the reality of war. Nice lush guitars in the opening and a great melody line reminds me a little of early Metallica. Nice balanced solos and a driving bass and percussion sure to be a classic. Great job on this one!
