One Life
I find myself sitting here wondering how
I’ve gotten where I was
With all that’s happened I’m trying to separate
Effect from cause
Would I do it all again knowing what
I know now
It’s just a jumbled mess of
What where why and how
If I were to die today
I wonder how I’d feel
Watching my life roll by
Reel by reel
Nothing’s worse than expectation
That goes unmet
I never want to look back on my life
With any regrets
We’ve all got one life to live
We’ve got one chance to get it right
What must one do to reach the
Higher ground
I’ve looked everywhere there’s
No answer to be found
It’s not so important what you do to
Complete a task
It’s much more critical the
Questions you ask
