Lyrics
The last thing I saw was the curve of your neck The smell of perfume, the lasting effect of your voice A smile in the shadow, a distant piano is playing a lullaby Yes it's Cliches and Rhyme again Tuesdays and time to spend With you and your cliches and rhyme again Every movement, like a ripple lost upon a sea Of men and make believe The next time I saw you were greeting the dawn Alone at the table just stifling a yawn as I pass No indication, a slight hesitation Then I see a smile start to come to your lips and it’s… Cliches and Rhyme again Tuesdays and time to spend With you and your cliches and rhyme again Through windows and doorways The closets and hallways Between men and make believe Looking for answers (we never seem to find) We’re looking for answers (or any little sign) Looking for answers... Body & soul, I’m losing control this time Falling in love, in favor of and ready for… Cliches and Rhyme again Bouquets and wine to send For you and your cliches and rhyme again Yes it's always goodbye at ten But your days are mine 'til then I live with your cliches and rhyme again Cliches and Rhyme again Tuesdays and time to spend With you and your cliches and rhyme again Every movement, like a ripple lost and in between Men and make-believe

Great song all the way around! Love the Queen vibe going on here. Excellent writing performance and recording!

Fantastic song. Vocals and piano in particular are sounding great. A little less prog and a little more pop than many of yours, and that suits my ears just fine. Brilliant.
I'm glad the distant piano referenced in the song isn't the one used in the recording as it's fantastic. And so is the rest of the song. I'd say more but it would just be more cliches. Bravo!
