Man, I was not expecting this. It starts out very folksy and then turns rock 'n' roll! The rhythm is dynamite - what percussion are you using? Along with the soulful electric playing, it gives sort of a Santana-esque feel to this very nice instrumental tune.

Wow! This is a really beautiful instrumental tune Charlie. Love the guitar and flute playing. Great melodies! Nice change around 01:28 :) More great guitar lead melodies :) and then the electric guitar comes in, a very nice surprise.
I really like the sound of the banjo that comes in at 03:29. It made me smile. :) I think you did a great job putting this one together. The way you build it up and the changes, it really made it very interesting to listen to from start to finish.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful tune. I really enjoyed listening to it. :)

Excellent. And yes the ravens dream and the dream they had they sent you and you wrote this song. That's what I think.

Hello Charlie,
Man! You had to of logged some serious thought and time with this one.
Different instruments, time changes, guitar tones, I'm impressed.
Instrumentals sometimes are hard to keep one's interest unless done the proper way. With "The Raven's Dream" you nailed it with Raven reality!

Very nice song Charlie. Really nice intro with the Raven, flute & Guitar, reminds me of native America. The change up takes this to another level with the tempo change and addition of the electric guitar. And a very nice touch with the banjo as well. This is a well performed and recorded piece and the acoustic guitar has a very warm and clear sound throughout the song. Well done on all tracks!

Absolutely wonderful music, Charlie! It is a pleasure to listen to an acoustic guitar played so well and sound so nice and in-your-face. The break-up and change in rhyth at 1:26 is fantastic and the song changes from pure folk ballad into a folkrock foot stomper. The banjo adds even more of that raw, pure and original sound that makes this piece stand out among other SC songs. Bravo, Charlie. A favourite for sure!

I recognize you immediately when you start to play the flute.
The change around 1:30 is surprising, bringing rhythm into the track.
All kinds of instruments are passing by, while the theme is staying the same.
Is that a banjo around 3:50?
And the end is like the beginning, and those flute parts feel like being in wild nature, where the raven is living/sleeping.
Nice one, very well done!

wow the acoustics sound great as does the flute. you played very well and recorded very well too. the changes are exciting, the acoustic lead really gets the job done. you've created a fine musical landscape with lots of emotional impact.

The instrumentation blends perfectly in this track. It stands on it's own merit but I had to search and found this
"Raven in Your Dreams;
When Raven comes flying in your dreams he is letting you know that a change of consciousness is imminent. This omen signals you to watch for the clues and that new heights are possible. When Raven is still and silent looking at you he is invoking magic. Raven’s loudly raucous calling at you he is insistent that you take heed – you are missing something important or have forgotten a lesson learned. A Raven flying loops and upside down playfully is telling you to fasten your seat belt because everything has gone into hyper drive. Absolute magic is afoot.
Occasionally Raven can signify an impending death. This is usually signaled by feeding on carrion or preening of its feathers to show rebirth."
Great song by the way!
Great opening cats! or should i say crows. That flute is something else.
