Folk rock singer/songwriter, unplugged or electric, solo or ensemble.
Hi! This is Charlie B., singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the band Freudian Press. I now play in the band The Sage Experiment. We play the Freudian Press catalog, and more! You can follow me at http://www.facebook.com/sageexperiment Freudian Press started in 1994, performing regularly for audiences in the midwest. The band has gone through a number of line-up changes over the years, and has gone from an acoustic-only band with two hand percussionists to an all-electric band with a set drummer.... all the while featuring both classic rock covers and my original songs. I am a self-taught musician, thus the reason for my playing a right-handed guitar upside-down, as a lefty. I have written and performed more than 50 original songs to date. I am also a published poet, and design and draw posters for Press shows. With a catalog of over 100 cover songs in addition to my original compositions, I'm never lacking material, and have performed in Freudian Press shows that lasted in excess of 5 hours. I am currently still writing, and recording sessions are in the works. The live songs presented on this site were all recording using a hand-held camcorder, and the studio songs were recorded in small home studios or in makeshift basement setups.

Lyrics
A townie and forever and a townie for today You were born here now you're done, and you will die here in this place Well, Nashville don't do drugs, New York's too far away Chicago's got the blues, right here then I will stay I'm easily amused, I don't have much to say There ain't nothin' for tomorrow that ain't happening today A hippie and forever and a hippie for today With your Grateful Dead and peace and love, and smoking grass all day Well, working ain't no fun at all, I'm going my own way A commune is the place to be, I'll live on one someday I'll make it on my own, I'm living day to day There ain't nothin' for tomorrow that ain't happening today I can't wait anymore! There's ole' Mr. Sunshine knockin' at my door A change is gonna come 'round Can't you hear the sound? A suit and tie forever and a suit and tie today And you're working nine-to-five until you fall into your grave Stock market business crash, a power lunch at three You always know just where you are and where you're gonna be Power greed ambition and you always get your way There ain't nothin' for tomorrow that ain't happening today I can't wait anymore! There's ole' Mr. Sunshine knockin' at my door A change is gonna come 'round Can't you hear the sound?
