Welcome to my page here at Soundclick. I'm a guitarist and composer, jazz mostly but I do wander into some more eclectic things on occasion. Been retired from State of Illinois since 2014. Currently working with the group Ocean State, and booking my own trio/quartet things on occasion. Also working on a variety of recording projects from my 'home studio'. It's all good.

Story behind the song
In memory of Bryan Medwed, a classmate at Oakland University back in '75-76. He and I were both composition students, even did a joint recital. Part of his contribution was a series of 4 pieces called Ever-expanding, for solo, duo, trio and quartet respectively. This was followed by a wind quintet of mine. I was originally going to call this blues Ever-expanding, but somehow that didn't quite fit the tune. So- Medwed's Blues.
