Story behind the song
Believers in Jesus Christ form one body. There is no difference between male or female, Jew or Greek (Gentile), slave or free because all are part of ONE BODY, which is the body of Christ. The Bible says that God is love. Therefore, all people and all things that He has created is the color of love.
Lyrics
One day I was riding in the back of a bus in Hollywood, Florida thinking about the last line of the song, "The Color of Love". I just wasn't satisfied with whatever I had written (I've already forgotten what I wrote) when the Lord gave me the last line of the song: "EVERY NATION, ALL OF CREATION, IS THE COLOR OF LOVE".
