I'm essentially a one-man home studio production unit. I write, play, sing, record, edit in my off-grid solar-powered rural home, and connect with the world via satellite internet. I can play several instruments, but dwell mostly on guitars, both electric and acoustic, 6-string, baritone, and bass.

Story behind the song
I composed and recorded the song as an instrumental twice, with slightly different tempos and rhythms. When it comes time to save a songfile, one has to come up with a title, so the first thing on my mind at the time was Cold West Wind. Then I stitched the two versions together, and later came up with the poem to express the feeling more distinctly.
Lyrics
Cold West Wind R Landon Wills 2015 The sun sets early behind the trees Branches snapping as they thaw and freeze Winter's final storm rolls in On the heels of the Cold West Wind Walking backward and facing east I dare not sage into the eyes of this beast I won't pick fights that I cannot win With the Cold West Wind Lordy, lordy, what started as an autumn breeze Has overstayed its welcome, and turned into a deep dark freeze Like some thought disease The buildings and the laws of man Sway and shudder and barely withstand Stripped bare of all but the original sin By the Cold West Wind The woodshed is as far as I have been In forty days, or I don't know when I'm never gonna go outside again Into this Cold West Wind I'm so tired, I've nearly lost my will My back's so sore, I'm looking for a brand-new pill And time to kill…
