little jazz ditty - simple piano and vocal (with subtle drums) Tim Lowe was kind enough to add some bass and organ... and an inimitable sax break (per usual)!
piano ballad jazzy
Artist picture
Power pop with a decidedly 60's sound. Lotsa Brian Wilson influence in vocals and arrangements in general.

just another break-up song, lyrics written long ago A trip to the lounge
Lyrics
I know it’s over, you know it’s over Why deny it Don’t be a fool dear, the signs are all here There’s no reason to keep it quiet Anyone can see We tried to do our best Now there’s nothing left for you and me Open up your eyes The end is growing near As anyone can clearly see I followed blindly, you followed blindly We brought each other here The dice have been thrown And it was nice but now it’s gone Where do we go from here Anyone can see Something’s going on What we had is gone so fast No matter how you try You really can’t pretend It just wasn’t meant to last Anyone can see That’s just the way it goes everybody knows it’s true I’m feeling kinda bad about it Just a little sad without it Everyone can see but you

Fabulous song start to finish. Nicely underdone rather than overdone, which leaves it open and airy, poignant and reflective.

Excellent song and performance. Feeling the emotion - very soulful. Great vocals, piano & sax. Very professional, sophisticated sound, love the warm rich tones.

Great crooning Matt, this mix just sparkles :)
Fantastic piano and vocals, warm bass and subtle organ from Tim, and just a great song. And that sax... short but so tasty. Classic!

Hi Matt, Well now this is a departure for you. Very nice and your production is perfect. Sax sounds fantastic. And nice hearing your solo voice. Excellent work top to bottom.
