Slightly taller than the daisies
climbing up the hill
was the tear stained face
of a shattered little girl
at the top she hugged a tree
and with her trembling lips
whispered all her troubles
then touched him with a kiss
with each passing season
she would tell it her dark woes
until she felt safe
she would kiss the tree then go
the tree shook heart shaped leaves
to soothe her weary soul
and dropped catkils at her feet
to say he loved her so
