catchy rock??? Listen for yourself.
Welcome, there isn't much to say that would make you understand what I do better than just letting you know who I am, which is Jay. I'm the kind of guy who would rather stay inside and write then go outside and play, forever. I'm the kind of guy who falls in love with almost everything, finds it hard to capture it all in a song so has to keep on going. I may be wrong but for me, a good songwriter can't be one that sits back and smells the coffee and relaxes, a real songwriter is basically (in a nice way) tormented by creation, and that is me.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song for a few reasons...I know a few people who have actually cut themselves, purposely, yeah...and I haven't but, I try to understand what people are thinking and what they're feeling or going through in those situations. So anyway, this song is a slight dip into maybe becoming that person. And also, this song CAN mean that 'shallow scars' are problems that are not physical but emotional, but they're not deep deep problems but shallow. We all have the possibilty of being rescued by somebody or something.
Lyrics
don't know how you heard me through all these walls screaming murder help me escape from myself Would you love me If I told you a lie Calmly calm me breathe deep until I die I feel it in your touch Tracing, searching eyes as you're counting my shallow scars cause I can’t tell you what it feels like to smile There’s no reason But you’re my excuse now to try I breathe you breathe In time I pray you’ll open up Inviting arms are here for you to fall in In your grip you shape me Build me into Something magic Don’t quite know what you do It must be in your touch Tracing, searching eyes as you're counting my shallow scars
