The title track of the album. This song is about friendship. I wrote it with my friends Nic and Julie and Julie in mind, but it really goes out to all of my buddies.

I am Tyson Cadenhead, a student at Union University. My songs are about everyday life and are often interlaced with topics of faith and Christianity in a very honest down-to-earth light. "And Then There Was You" is my first solo album ever recorded, though I have been a part of various other projects such as "A Work of Art", "The Crispy Cream Project", "The Chris Cadenhead Connection", "Company", "Rogers 81", "Nic Pfost" and "Stonesong". With underground drumming legend Matthew Diggs, many of the songs pull off a very solid rock and roll sound while others tend to be more acoustic. I'm very excited about my songs and I think that they have the potential to connect to people on several levels.

Lyrics
And then there was you, You noticed all the little things I would do, And even though they weren't enough To light the path that we would walk through narrow ways, Our four candles seemed to shine out and illuminate lonely days... And then there was the night And the way that it would die under the sharp headlights And the way that we would always ride the road back home But home wasn't far; It was where the beaten car would drive, In the jokes and in the friendly eyes And in all the places we would ride with no destination. And we need each other To stay up talking to But we will never find the words to say I love you. And then there was the peace In the quite air of those Sunday afternoons Studying to spontaneous tunes And depressed by reason. We sold our concentration for a bowl of macaroni And we couldn't buy it back. And we need each other To stay up talking to But we will never find the words to say I love you.
