Lyrics
Standing on the corner Got my little sign with me Am I out of order Some people won't even look at me Just got back from an awful place Been killing people I don't know I'm scared I'm cold I'm scared I'm all alone Family's all gone Don't know where I belong My clothes are all torn Can't you spare Can't you spare just 50 cents Can't you spare just 50 cents While you were home in bed I was out there fighting for you Crazy thoughts in my head People falling, people dead No one can spare a dime I'm doing hard time For me- for you In a hundred years it'll be somebody new Family's all gone Don't know where I belong My clothes are all torn Can't you spare Can't you spare just 50 cents Can't you spare just 50 cents Can't you help me I'm falling Everybody forgets no one sees me I'm just a sign I'm a stranger and now I'm feeling old Can't you spare just 50 cents How many people have died before me I guess I'm lucky Just to keep us safe and sound just to be free Maybe I should've died out there At least I wouldn't come home so scared I have no place to call home Cant you see I'm falling I hear my dad cry Telling me to survive How'd the world go so wrong Now all I'm asking Can't you spare just 50 cents I'M HOMELESS IN AMERICA I'M HOMELESS IN AMERICA Roll your window up Get away from me That's what you're all thinking Why I am trying desperately Why don't you get a job Like the rest of us join society I understand- it's all about you not about me It just won't ever end So many dying friends Sound off 1 2 Sound off 3 4 Don't really know what we were fighting for Billion Dollars Spent Can't you spare just 50 cents??
