Lyrics
No more perfect dog exists Than this humble little Scot. Other breeds, they envy me For everything they're not. My shortness is an asset When vermin must be found. The Border Collie, low it slinks. It still can't go to ground. That herder has my sympathy. He's really not quite right. Moving mutton back and forth all day; Poor dog just aint too bright. Low-slung is the Basset, But those ears are a deception. They're big but they don't stand like mine And improve t.v. reception. An Afghan's locks, remarkable, But who wants a coat to tangle. One can't be prissy 'bout their looks With vicious rats to wrangle. No more perfect dog exists Than this humble little Scot. Other breeds, they envy me For everything they're not. Yes, a Golden's friendly to the world. Is that really such a feat? Loyalty should not extend To every weirdo with a treat. I can't imagine a Chihuahua Digging ditches with its toes. A roly-poly Bulldog Barely has a nose. Now Rotties, they impress me. What a fearsome force. But a Scottie is all that, concealed. Just like a Trojan horse. A Bichon is too hard to clean. White always shows the dirt. A Collie is a weenie When it comes to getting hurt. No more perfect dog exists Than this humble little Scot. Other breeds, they envy me For everything they're not. Labs are all too common. P.R. is where the Pit is weak. Chows look all anoxic. In which direction points the Peke? Poodles are just victims Of scissors gone amok. Of all the breeds, I'd have to say They have the worst darn luck. Beagle barks can rouse the dead. Huskies blow their coats in clumps. Wolfhounds don't live very long. Boxers grow too many lumps. Surely Scotties have their flaws, you say. They must lack in some ability. Let me now assure you, We only lack humility! We only lack humility, But not because we're snotty. There really is no better dog Than a diehard little Scottie. No more perfect dog exists Than this humble little Scot. Other breeds, they envy me For everything they're not.
